What's in the Air Compressor Daily Inspection Checklist?
| Visual check of mains electrical switches, wiring and/or conduit (cracks, broken controls etc.) | Pass/Fail |
| Verify all guards are secure and function correctly (check latches, locks, fasteners and/or interlocks). | Pass/Fail |
| Ensure workspaces and walkways are clear and unobstructed, and that no slip-hazards are present. | Pass/Fail |

| Visually check that the air receiver drain tap is closed before operating. | Pass/Fail |
| Conduct any daily checks as required to the manufacture specifications. | Pass/Fail |
| Conduct close inspection for damage to switch gear. Test operation of switch gear (proper function of switch controls). | Pass/Fail |
| Check and drain the moisture from the air receiver tank. | Pass/Fail |
| Check and clean air filters if required. | Pass/Fail |
| Check availability of spare parts e.g. air filters, air hose and fittings, etc. | Pass/Fail |
| Check air filters and replace if required to manufacturer’s specification. | Pass/Fail |
| Check that the gauges and air receiver drain tap are functioning. Adjust, repair or replace as needed. | Pass/Fail |
| Clear away all dust, fines, grit, and waste from inside and around housings, cabinets etc. | Pass/Fail |
| Examine drive belts for flaws and correct tension – adjust if necessary. | Pass/Fail |
| Check security of all fixed guards. | Pass/Fail |
| Examine bolts used for mounting the motor to the machine. Re-tighten if necessary. | Pass/Fail |
| Check the security of machine mountings to the floor or base block. | Pass/Fail |
| Service and lubricate the compressor as per the manufacturer’s specification. | Pass/Fail |
| Check condition of 50mm line markings defining operator zones and access walkways. | Pass/Fail |
| Review safety operating procedure and update if necessary. | Pass/Fail |
